A Flask chat page that sends messages over a WebSocket at /echo. The server echoes each message, logs it and renders the history in the page.

Not startedDockercommit 7060306x86_64 · aarch64Secret

Objective

Tamper with the WebSocket messages to inject content that runs script in other users' browsers.

The brief for this lab lives in its repository.

Launch the lab

Open it in the Cyber CTF launcher, or run it yourself with Docker Compose.

Open in the launcher Source code

›Run it manually

$git clone https://github.com/CyberCTF/skf-websocket-message-manipulation && cd skf-websocket-message-manipulation && docker compose up -d

Without the launcher, the lab uses its public development evidence: great for practice, but it won't complete the lab.
